Making of Javantea's Fate 292

Tonight, I did another one just like tonight's MoJF. Cool, huh? I vectorized this the same day as I vectorized another that I drew in pencil on the same day as I drew it on pencil. Are you confused? I am. Well, like I said on tonight's second MoJF, this is the third MoJF tonight. I think it's a good thing. Being able to trace something so quickly is a good trait for a cg artist. This image is funny because the original was slightly tilted. That happens often in pencil. Of course, cg is never tilted unless you want it. It's kinda odd because the cg looks younger than the pencil. Why? Well, a few things. I used her right eye which looks younger than the right eye. That's a small difference. The second reason is that the pencil is grey while the cg is in colors that are bright. Another is that the mouth is larger. Why? Because XFig has several modes of positioning: any, 0.1 in, 0.2 in, etc. So I wasn't able to make the lips any smaller than 0.2 in without going into any position mode which is harder to control. I mean, the lips look decent, but they don't look as old as the original. Also, I mirrored the legs and made them thinner which made them a little sexier. Also, I had a problem with the waist so I had to pull the waist in such a way to make it look like her breasts are quite disproprotionate to her waist. While that isn't a big problem with manga and anime since women are naturally plentifully endowed with gazonga melons implanted into their chest.

Making of Javantea's Fate 290

I skipped this one tonight, but I didn't want to leave it blank, so I put a picture up that I had planned to a few days ago. But then I drew another MoJF. So that means I'm doing 3 MoJFs tonight. Call it a make-up for lost MoJFs. I decided a long while back that I'm not going to sweat skipping MoJF for weeks. I'm working like a madman, really I am. And this check that came through should tell you something: I'm fucking broke-assed. I skipped payment on my credit card from which I am getting a $1,000 cash advance so that I can pay off other credit cards. FUCK! And to top it of, the Mofo Dept. of Education thinks it wants it's fucking cash back now. Well fuck them. I can barely pay rent. I will soon have equal credit card debt and student loans: $15,000 each. That's a total of $30,000 in case you're counting. And no I didn't add a few extra zeros. No job, no money. Do you have a better idea on how it's supposed to work? All I can tell you is that the degree is worth it if I don't go bankrupt, but not otherwise. I could have bought the books and taught myself in two years what they slowly taught me in four. A degree get you a job? I don't think so. Your knowledge and experience will get you a job. Where do you get experience? A job. See the circular logic? Well, they expect a person to get experience without a job. Think about it. So you can see my check to the D of E that cleared. Justice will be served to them no matter if I pay or not. But not to me. Justice to me can only be served if I pay these fucking debts. My mom wonders why I have panic attacks every fucking time I look at the classifieds or when I balance my checkbook.

Making of Javantea's Fate 291

Greetings. Hopefully tonight's Making of JF will be short. I'm kinda backing up against a deadline. Hopefully I'll be able to get something done by Oct 1 to show you. My new job is picking up, so HM will lose a bit of steam, but as you can see here, I'm not giving up. No sir. No mam. This is a girl that I drew a while back at the same time as this one and . While you probably don't care, I dated the day that I scanned it as 2003-08-16. It's a good thing to keep dates on things so that I or you can know what is going on when. A year down the road no one will remember anything, so one ends up with messy memories. But my second favorite philosopher, Juliette Lewis (Strange Days, Natural Born Killers) said: "Memories fade for a reason." and also "There's one way that movies are better than playback -- when it's over, the credits roll up and you know it's over. IT'S OVER!" Anyway, I hope that one day my pack-rat-ism will benefit me or someone else. It's a burden to keep memories, data, and random info on hand or in storage, but I feel that it's quite necessary.

Making of Javantea's Fate 289

Tonight, a special treat for those who read Keenspace. Movies from JF is a new page to prop up all the cool movies I've made. It tells you ahead of time the size and the date it was created. That's pretty helpful, since the internet is a wide range of stuff. Maybe that page will find its way into All the Web and I'll get a bunch of hits and a bunch of data transfer. As long as Keen's sponsors pay for it, I'm keen to let them. The idea is that JF is seriously a multimedia thing going on here. The downloads are small, but if your video player supports looping, many of them loop. I recommend the last two since they're the latest. I created them in Linux with AltSci3D Anime Director/Producer and Transcode. Using the same program, I will create all of JF Anime. It is possible, but not probable that I will finish JF Anime before I finish JF Manga. Note how I have one demo movie of JF Anime and I have 5 scenes of JF Manga (rough draft). With a few more small upgrades, AS3D Anime Director will be a seriously powerful tool. Seeing that movie, you should understand that AD is a very powerful tool already.
